GRAVY, Creamy Country Pepper Gravy. discovered this easy recipe for gravy mix online at http://forealslife.com/blog/easy-creamy-peppered-country-gravy-mix-vegan-and-gluten-free. Gotta give credit where credit is due! This is a delicious creamy gravy that will remind you (at least it did me) of Bob Evans Sausage Gravy. I pretty much followed the recipe for a change with just a few small modifications. I cut the nutritional yeast in half as I feel it can overwhelm a recipe, a LOT less pepper, and added just a pinch of smoked paprika. You can serve this over biscuits, potatoes, rice any anything you want. The original recipe had a lot of pepper in it, so if you don't like a little kick to your gravy, you may want to start off with a little less pepper to begin with like I did in the recipe below. I used unsweetened almond milk in mine, which is just 30 calories a cup. I discovered you can cut down on the calories and the fat content from the almond milk even more by using 1/2 water, 1/2 almond milk and it does not sacrifice the taste at all. Enjoy!
